3t officially launches new Teesside training facility

3t, the leading provider of the highest-impact training and learning solutions for safety-critical industries, is celebrating the opening of its new state-of-the-art Teesside training facility.

As the UK’s largest energy sector training provider, 3t’s Training Services division (previously AIS Survivex) is set to welcome tens of thousands of delegates per year to the new facility – its eighth training location in the UK, and tenth internationally.

Based in the heart of the Tees Valley region, the development and opening of the facility is part of 3t’s plans and commitment to supporting the region’s skills improvement plans by providing the training, knowledge and qualifications to futureproof the local workforce and industry.

Providing more choice of training courses and additional locations to train with 3t in the UK, the centre features a variety of facilities and classrooms that will support delegates training to succeed in roles across the energy and renewables sector.

Delivered by 3t’s expert instructors, the training delivered in Teesside will drive growth across key sectors including wind, oil and gas, construction, utilities, and processing industries, as well as strengthen the development of new sectors in the region such as carbon capture and storage, and hydrogen.

To mark the facility being operational, 3t hosted a launch event for local clients and stakeholders. Inviting guests for an exclusive tour of the facilities, and to find out more about 3t’s plans for the region from its Senior Leadership team, 3t welcomed guests on Friday 24th November.

A successful launch event, the new facility builds on the already strong partnerships and long-standing customer base that 3t has built in the Tees Valley region. Discussing the facility’s importance and its impact on the region, Emma Howorth, General Manager for England at 3t said: “We’re thrilled to officially open our latest training facility, here in the heart of the Tees Valley.

“This new facility further strengthens our presence in the region and our commitment to providing new opportunities for the local workforce, developing new skills, and supporting them and the industries we serve with the best training and course availability to thrive.

“The courses we offer here will have a massive role to play in supporting the next generation of energy sector workers, particularly those looking to move into or to begin their careers in wind with our impressive newly installed training tower and frames. We know our impact in Teesside will have incredibly positive repercussions across the whole of the UK and beyond, and we’re very proud of that.”
