Dawson & Sanderson collect two awards at the 9th annual Jet2holidays VIP Conference
North East travel agent Dawson & Sanderson were delighted to attend the 9th annual Jet2holidays VIP conference held at the Voyage Belek Golf and Spa in Turkey this November.
The conference tailored specifically to travel agents and with a ‘Fight-or-Flight’ theme, provided delegates with the guidance and a range of tools to overcome challenges within the travel industry and the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge designed to support in-store sales of Jet2 holidays.
The travel provider held a ‘Jet2holidays Challenge’, which saw the Jet2 Trade team go up against agents and managers in a series of challenges, all of which were pre-filmed and shown on the night.
Managing Director Annelene Hutton said, “We have always had a strong and positive partnership with the Jet2 team, and our relationship has always been focused on collaboration between branch teams and the trade team. Not only was it a pleasure to be invited to the conference, but important to us that we continued to support one of our main partners in the industry.”
The conference featured a jam-packed agenda including presentations, an awards ceremony accompanied by live music, Q&A sessions, and speakers including CEO Steve Heapy, Director of Travel Agent Relationships Alan Cross, and Olympic Gold Medalist Nicola Adams.
This year, Dawson & Sanderson walked away with two awards: their Washington branch winning the ‘Top Retail Shop for Newcastle Airport’ and the company receiving the ‘Large Chain of the Year’ award.
Annelene said, “I am proud of all of our branch teams and how they have responded this year to a lot of change both within the business and the economic environment. Our team members work extremely hard with our partners, so it’s fantastic that our achievements are being recognised. Winning these awards is a great achievement, so we are feeling on top of the world!”
