Director of Sales & Marketing Manager appointed ahead of new Holiday Inn Blackpool opening
With plans underway for the opening of the Holiday Inn Blackpool in Spring 2024, RBH Hospitality Management has appointed Laura Taylor as Director of Sales & Marketing Manager.
Responsible for driving sales and marketing activity at the 144-bedroom hotel - which includes a Marco’s New York Italian restaurant - Laura will support General Manager, Mark Winter, to ensure the successful launch of the exciting new destination next year.
Laura brings a wealth of experience to the new role, having worked in hospitality in the Blackpool market for over 15 years. With expertise gained from previous hotel launches and campaigns, Laura’s creativity and industry knowledge will further enhance the 80-strong Blackpool team. Alongside Laura’s appointment, there is an ongoing recruitment drive underway covering everything from managerial positions to front-of-house and housekeeping staff, which will see the team’s headcount significantly increase over coming months.
The Holiday Inn Blackpool is council owned and is part of the city’s wider regeneration project, Talbot Gateway. The development is conveniently placed off the side of the train station, offering a central hub for both business and leisure guests arriving in Blackpool.
On her appointment as Director of Sales & Marketing, Laura said: “This is such an exciting time to be joining the Holiday Inn Blackpool. There’s a huge amount of regeneration and investment taking place in the town, so we know there’s real demand for our amenities. With our central location we’re perfectly placed to attract companies and business travellers as well as our leisure guests – so there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to open our doors next year.”
Mark Winter, General Manager of the Holiday Inn Blackpool, said: “Laura has amazing experience when it comes to hotel sales and developing leads in Blackpool so she’s the perfect addition to our growing team.
“Alongside Laura’s appointment, we’re currently conducting a rigorous recruitment campaign and have had a fantastic response to our advertisements so far. Our ‘Be More You’ campaign looks at attracting talented individuals who can express their personality within their role. We can’t wait to announce more new team members in the coming months.”
The Holiday Inn Blackpool is set to open in Spring 2024.
