Property firm moves in on more of Leeds City Centre's market share
A Leeds based property firm is reporting 17 per cent growth in its city centre rentals portfolio and 15 per cent growth in sales activity since the start of the year.
Zenko Properties is an independently owned sales and lettings agency, which was founded in Leeds city centre in 2015 by Tobias Duczenko. The firm recently brought in Leeds city living specialist, Jonathan Morgan, who spent more than a quarter of a century pioneering and driving the city centre’s transformation into a thriving residential market.
Tobias said: “It’s no secret that rising interest rates have reduced activity in the residential property market in 2023, but even against this challenging backdrop, it’s still been a very busy year for our team. We now manage more than 450 rental properties and have delivered sales worth more than £13m.
“We are marketing properties for sale ranging in price from £105,000 to £1m in the city centre and have recently been instructed on a three-bedroomed penthouse on Dock Street, with an anticipated asking price of £650,000.
“Despite slightly subdued conditions, we expect our market share to continue growing into next year as vendors demand more from their agent when navigating this tricky period. We’ve been here before, and know that real, expert advice will be critical for a successful outcome.”
Zenko Properties specialises in city centre sales, lettings and property management as well as identifying and acquiring high quality investment properties for its landlord clients. Tobias added: “We are proud to have marketed several iconic and high-quality city centre developments this year and have sourced investment opportunities with gross yields of up to 8 per cent.”
Director, Ian Darley, added: “Our rentals portfolio has recently been bolstered following our appointment on three key developments in Leeds totalling 42 properties. At, Lamberts Yard, which is an individual development of 19 apartments on Lower Briggate, we let all 10 vacant apartments in just four weeks after our appointment.
“This followed a strategic investment and management review for the landlord, and we are now managing the whole building.”
Jonathan Morgan, who is a partner at Zenko Properties, added: “We are all very proud of the sustainable, organic growth we are achieving and we are determined to become the go to residential agent of choice in Leeds city centre.”
