Growing Manchester tech team celebrates record year of growth with £1bn of sales

Manchester tech specialist Sync is celebrating a year of ‘exceptional growth’, which saw the business achieve £1bn in sales of Apple products, secure placements on two ‘prestigious’ government frameworks, and be named as Prolific North’s ‘Large Tech Company of the Year’.

In addition to this impressive achievement from Prolific North, the business was also announced as one of the ‘Most Exciting Companies’ by Insider Media and was shortlisted for ‘North West Business of the Year’ by Business Desk, a testament to its continued success.

To match the rapid growth of the business, Sync has increased its staff headcount by 15 per cent year on year, with its Education Team seeing the biggest growth.

This investment in its team of education specialists has allowed Sync to support more schools, academies, and universities across the UK in adopting innovative technology to transform the delivery of education.

Standout achievements for Sync in 2023 include its recent appointment to the TePAS 2 government framework; working with large commercial clients, such as Auto Trader, to support their digital transformation; and further supporting UK charity Guide Dogs with the procurement of Apple devices for their ‘Tech for All’ scheme.

Scott Bordoni, Chief Operations Officer at Sync, commented: “The team has reached a series of impressive milestones this year, from our own internal achievements to getting to work alongside some of the biggest charities in the UK, and even seeing Sync placed on frameworks that will allow for more compliant routes of procurement for our customers.

“2023 saw us invest more in our team, promoting significant growth across our varying departments in order for us to better support our education and business clients around the country – a true marker of success in my books.”

Key business wins during this period have helped solidify Sync as a major tech provider in the UK, supporting the transformation of digital provision for businesses and organisations up and down the country. This has benefited businesses of all sizes, from the streamlining of workflows in small businesses to increasing productivity within large enterprises.

As it continues its trajectory of success into 2024, Sync remains committed to providing the very best solutions in the most cost-effective and time efficient manner for both the private and public sector.

Scott continued: “Our focus in 2024 is clear - to continue supporting more organisations across the UK with their digital transformation, and further support schools and universities in reshaping education with Apple technology. We’re looking forward to another successful year.”
