Newcastle Eagles make ‘great addition’ to sponsor line-up with local accountants
The numbers add up for Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles this season after the ‘men in black’ get support in the stands from one of the region’s leading financial players.
The club’s blossoming sponsorship from Ryecroft Glenton has seen the North East based accountancy firm become regular fixtures at the Vertu Motors Arena. And a “match made in hoops heaven” reunites head coach Marc Steutel with a former team-mate.
Dan Cooper, Partner and Head of Outsourced | FD at Ryecroft Glenton, explained: “The fact that I’m an ex-basketball player makes this relationship even more special. In our younger days Marc and I played together so it’s fantastic to be in a position to support the Eagles.
“As a firm, Ryecroft Glenton is delighted to be one of Newcastle’s sponsors for the 2023/24 season. They’re the league’s, and the North East’s, most successful club and that’s something we really admire. As a firm we’re focused on supporting our region and the work that the Eagles do, on and off the court, is worthy of that support.
“The journey they’ve been on over the years is outstanding. We’re looking forward to supporting the club at each game alongside our clients and professional friends.”
Ryecroft Glenton is an established, independent firm of North East chartered accountants and business advisers, operating nationally. Based in Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside, Dan and his team deliver joined-up advice on financial affairs across the board.
Paul Blake, Managing Director, Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles, added: “We love welcoming Dan, his team and their guests to VIP Hospitality on game nights at the Vertu Motors Arena.
“Ryecroft Glenton shares so many of the values that we do as a club and as a Foundation and they share our commitment to supporting the North East and helping the region to flourish. It’s great to be working with one of head coach Steutel’s former team-mates and everyone’s looking forward to hearing the inside story from Dan!”
