‘Leading’ Newcastle law firm strengthens services with new appointment
A commercial litigation team has strengthened its services to clients by appointing a new Partner to its Newcastle office.
Property litigation solicitor, Sue Roberts, has joined Burnetts Solicitors LLP, having previously worked for 18 years at another top North East firm.
And now she is adding her expertise to the already highly experienced team at the Tyneside solicitors, as part of the Burnetts’ plan to consolidate its position as one of the top commercial litigation departments in the north.
Sue has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of property litigation and is delighted to be bringing her skills, and her reputation, to Burnetts.
She said: “I knew that Burnetts was looking for someone to add to their property litigation team and I felt that was a gap that I could fill. Because I have worked in this area for some considerable time, I know lots of key players who I would hope will see how much Burnetts have to offer.
“Although I’ve only been here for a relatively short time, I love the open culture and the fact that everyone is so friendly. I’m looking forward to really being able to add to the already strong team that we have at Burnetts.”
Burnetts commercial litigation and business dispute solicitors have been singled out for praise in the Legal 500, widely recognised as the definitive guide to the legal profession.
The department deals with commercial contracts, partnerships, shareholder and board disputes, professional negligence and debt recovery, as well as property litigation and landlord and tenant issues.
James Johnston, Head of Dispute Resolution at Burnetts, added: “Sue has a fantastic reputation and her experience and knowledge in the area of property litigation are second to none. She will be a huge asset to our already strong team.”
