Floorplan Celebrates 25 Years of Pioneering Excellence in Raised Access Flooring

Floorplan Systems Limited, a Lancashire-based leader in Raised Access Flooring, commemorates a significant milestone as it celebrates 25 years of delivering exclusive, quality products and exceptional services to the commercial sector.

Established in 1998 by founders Gordon Scott, Gordon Taylor, Brian McEvoy, and currently led by Patrick Swift, the company has evolved from a modest startup into a key player in the construction industry.

A standout achievement is the exclusive partnership with JVP, an Italian family-run business that designs and manufactures a wide range of access floor panels. Floorplan enjoys single-source rights to import, supply, and install these products in the UK, a strategic collaboration that enhances the company’s portfolio, solidifying its dedication to providing clients with top-tier flooring solutions.

The company’s footprint extends across numerous prestigious projects throughout the UK, with notable installations including The Shard, The Gherkin, Nova Victoria, and the prestigious new London HQ of The Financial Times. Over the last 10 years, this reliability in delivering high-profile projects has seen Floorplan expand its activities into the data centre market, demonstrating the versatility needed to meet evolving industry demands.

At a recent celebratory event, Carlo Valerio, Managing Director of JVP srl, highlighted the enduring partnership between the two companies, stating:

“Floorplan and JVP are more or less twins - our companies were established in the same year, with a unique focus; to provide the best possible service to the Raised Access Floor market, and we have been inseparable ever since. We are delighted to be invited to the UK to celebrate 25 years of a true partnership with friends.

“Together we have installed more than 12 million floor panels, equating to 4.3 million sqm - three times the area of London’s Hyde Park – all done without even a single quality claim.”

Patrick Swift, Managing Director of Floorplan, expressed gratitude to the company’s loyal customers, dedicated employees, and supportive supply chain partners, emphasising the pivotal role of all in its continued development.

Floorplan hosted a festive celebration at the Midland Hotel, Manchester.
