Northwest London development creates 2,000 new homes at halfway milestone
Leading housebuilder Redrow has reached the halfway milestone at Colindale Gardens, having completed 50 per cent of the 4,200 new homes that will make up this bustling flagship community.
Nestled in Northwest London, Colindale Gardens represents a transformational project that has brought a once-disused area to life. This development is redefining contemporary living, offering a blend of affordable homes, open green spaces, and excellent amenities.
Originally comprising disused 1960s tower blocks and the Peel Centre, a former Metropolitan Police training college, Colindale Gardens is now the perfect blend of a more relaxed pace of life and the allure of big city lights.
This follows the recent release of 56 apartments in the Dianthus Collection in September last year, with 24 reserved in a matter of weeks. The latest launch features a collection of studio, one- and two-bedroom homes which will sit across three buildings in the Dianthus Collection; Dahlia House, Diascia House, and Darmera House.
Jody Bryant, director of sales at Redrow Greater London, comments: “Reaching the halfway point at Colindale Gardens is not just a milestone for the community, but a testament to our unwavering commitment to creating vibrant and thriving communities.
“Colindale Gardens brings much-needed homes to North London, from those taking their first step on the property ladder to those downsizing to those in need of affordable housing.
“Colindale Gardens serves as an exemplary case study of what can be achieved on one site. We’re proud of the progress that we’ve made here, and look forward to welcoming more residents in the years to come.”
Rohit Singh, the halfway buyer at Colindale Gardens comments; “It’s exciting to be the halfway buyer at Colindale Gardens! It’s amazing to see the demand for homes here, and I completely understand why. My journey to becoming a part of this community started when I moved to the UK from India and settled in Colindale. I used to pass the community on my way to the station each day, and I knew this was where I wanted to be.”
Redrow continues to demonstrate its commitment to helping Londoners onto the property ladder, facilitating access to affordable homes through contributions and innovative housing solutions. Notably, Redrow has recently agreed to sell 249 newly built homes at Colindale Gardens to Barnet Council. This collaboration signifies a crucial step in addressing the pressing need for high-quality, affordable housing in the borough.
Colindale Gardens is not only a testament to Redrow’s commitment to quality and affordability but also a reflection of the broader transformation happening in the area. The £4bn investment in the Brent Cross and Cricklewood area will bring new high-quality homes, amenities, services, facilities, and transport upgrades to Colindale and its surrounding areas, including Brent Cross, West Hendon, and Cricklewood.
