Behind-the-scenes video of iconic Tynemouth Castle Inn renovation, released
A video showcasing the multi-million-pound renovation of a well-known north east hotel - the Tynemouth Castle Inn - has been released by Silverstone Building Consultancy which project managed the major project, on behalf of its owners, The Inn Collection Group.
In the footage, which includes stunning, coastal aerial views shot by drone, director, Phil Bone, talks us through the how the art deco hotel was re-born through extensive refurbishment, extension and a significant team-effort.

“We have a long-standing relationship with The Inn Collection Group and it was a pleasure to support the company with the redevelopment of the hotel.
“Overlooking one of the North East’s renowned beaches, The Tynemouth Castle Inn boasts magnificent coastal views as well as being close to Newcastle city centre and the Northumberland coastline.
“This was very much a team effort with The Inn Collection Group, STP Construction, GSS Architecture, Maughan Reynolds Partnership, Sine Consulting, BXB Interiors, Design North, KLR Planning, Stroma Building Control, Roberts Environmental, Apex Acoustics, iTransport Planning, Castle Keep Surveys, AB Heritage and A place on Earth all providing their specialist skills on the project.”
Silverstone Building Consultancy, a firm of chartered building surveyors and project managers with offices in Leeds, Newcastle and London, has previously managed the restoration of a number of hotels for The Inn Collection Group including The Harrogate Inn and The Ripon Inn.
