Leeds sports bar celebrates 10 years with ‘remarkable’ six-figure reinvention
A popular Leeds sports bar is set to celebrate its 10th year trading with a “remarkable makeover and an enticing new menu”.
The Brotherhood, which quickly established itself as a trailblazer on the UK sports bar scene back in 2014, has invested £500k into reinventing its New Briggate venue. Taking a more refined approach to sports bar culture, Brotherhood tapped into an area of the market that had previously been lacking, with the focus on “great sports, great drinks, and great people”.
Enlisting the help of AXI Interior Design, the two-floor venue has been transformed into a ‘warm and inviting’ space that channels a vintage gentleman’s club, with plenty of retro sporting nods throughout.
The main hall blends traditional British elements with modern flourishes, stripping back the walls to its original form, deep-toned leather to create a warm rustic charm. The bar area is very traditional, a tiled bar front in British heritage colours and vintage sports memorabilia on every wall to achieve a laid-back inviting feel.
The upstairs bar is more intimate, with its low-ceiling, timber beams, rugs and large bookcase. The venue also now boasts a private dining area, which has been designed as a space for hosting birthdays, VIP meetings and special occasions.
Discover the hidden door, and you’ll find a secret snug, which is available to hire for smaller parties of up to 20 people. Gamers can also take part in Xbox competitions, as well as pool and beer pong.
The Brotherhood’s bar owner, Seema Dhiman will also be unveiling a new food and drink menu, which is heavily inspired by iconic sporting legends and events from days gone by. The First XI cocktail collection includes proven winners, including classics such as a Negroni and a Long Island Iced Tea.
Guests looking for pre and post-match nutrition can indulge in a selection of comfort food. Highlights include a classic Club Sandwich, a Fish Finger Butty, and a wide selection of their famous wings, burgers and Bar Snacks.
Seema commented: “It’s been a fantastic 10 years, and I am really excited about the next chapter and era. We have got fabulous plans and I believe I have created a superb environment for all Yorkshire sports fans.” The new look bar reopens on Friday 2 February.
