Rotherham United Women FC announces ‘milestone’ with first business partner

Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce its exclusive partnership with Rotherham United Women FC as the club’s first-ever Business Partner.

This collaboration marks a ‘significant milestone’ in the efforts to promote women’s football, drive enthusiasm in the community, and support the growth of a local team. As a prominent business network in the area, Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to “empowering the local community and promoting inclusivity”.

By joining forces with Rotherham United Women FC as a Business Partner, the Chamber reaffirms its commitment to supporting women’s sports and providing a platform for the talented athletes of Rotherham.

The partnership, led by Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber’s female Chief Executive, is only the beginning of women in business becoming a ‘beacon and the leading voice’ behind women’s sports and it is hoped the partnership will continue facilitating this on a local scale.

Carrie Sudbury, Chief Executive from Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber, commented: “As we embark on this historic partnership with Rotherham United Women FC, we are not just supporting a local team, but championing the cause of women in sports.”

“This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to inclusivity and empowerment in our community. Together, we are making strides in promoting women’s football and showcasing the incredible talent of our local players.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this journey and look forward to a future where every kick, every goal, and every victory inspires a new generation of women athletes.”
