Aspire Furniture embarks on transatlantic expansion with £500k backing from NatWest

On its tenth-year anniversary, Yorkshire based Aspire Furniture is poised for a significant leap into the international market, backed by a £500k funding package from NatWest.

Established in 2013 by Directors Paul Murphy and Kit Burgoyne, Aspire Furniture specialises in bespoke, well-crafted mattresses and furniture while remaining committed to affordability. Serving as a key supplier to major home retail outlets including Very, Next, and Amazon, the company has achieved consistent year-on-year growth, while giving individual customers the accessibility to shop online at its own store in Yorkshire.

Aspire Furniture has created success through a reputation of high quality, great value and consistent customer satisfaction. As a result, the company has created over 100 jobs over the last two years alone. Along with this, Aspire Furniture offers a frontrunning apprenticeship scheme to individuals who are keen to kickstart their career in an environment renowned for its ambition.

Now backed with a £500,000 trade loan from NatWest, Aspire Furniture is strategically positioning itself to enter the United States market. This infusion of working capital will support Aspire Furniture with the strategic establishment of this exciting new challenge.

Aspire Furniture hopes to cement itself as an industry leader both in the UK and the US, committed to delivering exceptional service and contributing to employment opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic.

Kit Burgoyne, Director of Aspire Furniture, said: “Tapping into a new market is always extremely challenging, especially one as expansive as the United States. However, our consistent growth over the last 10 years has taught us never to shy away from a big opportunity.

"NatWest has truly helped us establish a robust foundation and with this opportunity. We look forward to continue our expansion in the years ahead, while always keeping our values of exceptional customer service, furniture quality and affordability at the core.”

Liam Douglas, Relationship Director at NatWest, added: “Aspire Furniture is now a major player in the UK Market, run by a dynamic management team. This expansion into the United States presents an opportunity for Aspire to establish a strong presence on both sides of the Atlantic.
