Northumberland based sustainable biomass firm expands with new East Yorkshire office

A low carbon heat company headquartered in Northumberland and with staff across Scotland and the midlands has expanded its biomass service and maintenance division, with a new operational office located in East Yorkshire.

Reheat, which specialises in low carbon heat technologies, will open a permanent location in Hull to meet the needs of biomass owners in the area. 

As part of the move, local specialist Richard Weeks will join Reheat as an Associate, having worked in collaboration on a number of projects in the area over the past decade, including National Trust sites, Wykeham Abbey and The Old Rectory in Sigglesthorne.

In addition to Reheat’s service and maintenance, Richard will provide Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) compliance support, such as advising on tariffs, fuel quality, 10-year meter calibration issues and will support clients who are engaging with industry regulator Ofgem. 

Reheat will also provide HETAS accredited servicing, which is now a mandated requirement of the RHI.

Richard commented: “As a local working in this region, I recognise the clear demand for services of this kind in East Yorkshire and beyond. 

“The RHI, while closed to new applications, is still very much alive for many biomass boiler owners who need support to navigate their way through the maze of compliance, in addition to operating their low carbon heat systems efficiently. 

“I am excited to be able to represent Reheat and bring their consultancy and hands-on engineering expertise as part of a substantial offering to the region.”
