Ex Bradford City star signs for Yorkshire accountancy practice

 SyersMcGill, a Yorkshire based accountancy firm that has recently welcomed significant business growth, announced Dave Syers as a new addition to their leadership team. He brings with him his expertise in managing business growth within the SME market.

Dave Syers spent six seasons as a professional footballer playing for several Yorkshire based clubs, including Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers and Scunthorpe United. He returned to non-league football in 2016 playing for Guiseley, Darlington and Farsley Celtic whilst studying and ultimately qualifying as a chartered accountant. 

Michaela McGill, a certified chartered accountant,  joined the practice over 30 years ago and specialises in personal tax compliance and partnership / sole trade accounts.

"It is a really exciting time for the practice, we have expanded our remit and look forward to being able to offer businesses wider support whilst preserving and building on our proactive approach to accountancy services at reasonable rates.”

Qualified chartered accountant and small company specialist Dan Syers became a partner 6 years ago as part of a management buyout.

Following a recent move to, and renovation of, a larger Horsforth office, setting up a base in Wetherby and with a trio of directors offering over 50 years of experience, Syers McGill are cementing their status as one of the most reputable and knowledgeable accounting businesses in the area.
