“Everybody needs good neighbours”- Forget Me Not neighbours FMG pledge long term support for charity
Huddersfield based company FMG, who have raised over £57,000 for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice since it opened its doors in 2012, visited their neighbours to receive a Platinum Partner plaque, in recognition of their ongoing commitment to support the charity.
The company, based at Bradley Business Park, just a few hundred metres from the children's hospice, have been enthusiastic sponsors and participants in Forget Me Not events like the Dragon Boat Race and the Colour Run, where they will sponsor a colour station this year, as well as initiating fundraising activities for the children's hospice among their own staff team. This month they made a donation of £5000 to the charity as part of their commitment as a Platinum Partner.

Ken Davy said,
"As the song says, everybody needs good neighbours, and we can certainly say that about our neighbours and friends at FMG! Over the last 12 years, they have been great supporters and a familiar face at all our events. It's a pleasure to welcome them to our Platinum Partners Consortium and we look forward to continuing to work with them as we support families facing or living with the loss of their child"
Claire Owens, Managing Director at FMG said,
“We’re proud to be a Platinum Partner and to continue supporting Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and the incredible work it undertakes. Through FMGive, our dedicated charity partnership scheme, our colleagues deliver a fabulous calendar of fundraising and dedicated corporate charity events throughout the year aimed at raising funds for Forget Me Not and providing volunteer assistance. Knowing the funds raised have a direct impact on the community in which we operate fuels our appetite to continue and we look forward to getting creative and finding new ways to have fun whilst fundraising in the year ahead.”
This year Forget Me Not needs to raise £5.5m to run the hospice, with only a fraction of those funds coming from the government or NHS. Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports babies and children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire. It has a wide range of services from pregnancy onwards including superb nursing care, hydrotherapy, creative therapy, days out, memory making, end of life care, bereavement support and counselling for the whole family.
