Kitman labs expands global collegiate partnerships with Loughborough University deal
A sports intelligence software platform has announced a university deal.
Kitman Labs is working with Loughborough University.
The university will use the Performance Medicine and Performance Optimization Solutions for iP: Intelligence Platform, which combines data into a single, integrated platform.
Bosses say by deploying the platform across the entire athletic department, Loughborough will be able to unify all people, processes and data in a singular operating system.
Olivia Murphy, the university's deputy director of sport (performance director), said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring Kitman Labs into Loughborough Sport.
"We know Kitman will increase our ability to work in an interdisciplinary way with our amazing group of coaches and practitioners to enhance the performance of our athletes.”
Rich Ellis, deputy director of sport (head of commercial partnerships and facilities), said: "The team at Kitman brings a wealth of experience that has made the onboarding and integration of the platform efficient and smooth.
"We are excited to share learnings from our multi-sport environment that can further optimise the platform to our needs." Stephen Smith, Kitman Labs chief executive and founder, added: "While there are many similarities between the needs of the collegiate sector and pro leagues, there are some defining fundamental differences. "From the sheer volume and diversity of sports, to the number of stakeholders across athletic departments to the foundational mission of providing holistic student-athlete care, the need for a shared and fully integrated data and analytics infrastructure is paramount to achieving success - operationally and from a performance perspective.” “By deploying the intelligence platform across all teams and all sports, Loughborough is equipping its teams with the technology and analytics tools necessary to sustain its legacy of education and performance that has made it the centre of excellence that is today.”This was posted in Bdaily's Members' News section by Lucie Hayes .
