Movera boosts workforce development with initiative
Home-moving group Movera, whose brands include ONP Solicitors, Cavendish Legal Group and LMS, has launched a new initiative to support employees in gaining professional qualifications.
The programme, funded by an annual £75,000 apprenticeship levy and an additional £20,000 for other qualifications, aims to develop a highly skilled team across law, finance and leadership.
Movera’s initiative encourages employees from various departments, including tech and finance, to advance their skills, offering pathways for all team members to progress their careers.
Paulo Dos Santos, case manager at ONP, said: "Since joining Movera in 2022 as part of the Leeds remortgage team, I have been continuously supported in my professional growth.
“Movera’s commitment to my development included backing my completion of the CILEX Foundation course, which played a pivotal role in advancing my career.
“This training has enabled me to transition seamlessly into the Leeds conveyancing team, where I am eager to contribute to the department’s ongoing success."
Chris Harvey, head of learning and development at Movera, said: “Launching our professional qualification approach has been a fundamental part of our overall learning and development strategy.
“Our aim is to support the development and careers of all our people, whatever the field.
"I hear so much about how it can be difficult to step into and progress a career in law, and this programme, along with our dedicated programmes, will certainly help people do that.”
