Cyber firm expands with Glasgow base

A cybersecurity company has moved into a newly-regenerated commercial hub in Glasgow’s East End as part of “ambitious growth plans”.

Acumen Cyber has relocated to EastWorks, in Dalmarnock, occupying more than 6800 sq ft of space to support its expanding Security Operations Centre (SOC) and growing team.

The new premises will host Acumen Cyber’s advanced 24/7 SOC, equipped with pioneering threat detection, prevention and response technologies.

The company, known for its engineering-led managed security services, plans to increase its workforce to 50 by 2025 and establish itself as a top five UK Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) within five years.

Partnering with industry leaders such as Elastic, CrowdStrike, Fortinet and Recorded Future, Acumen already offers clients one of the most comprehensive security engineering capabilities in the UK.

Situated within a Victorian-era gas purifier shed repurposed by Clyde Gateway, the £9 million EastWorks development is an exemplar of sustainable innovation, being the first commercial building to be connected to Clyde Gateway’s District Heating Network which provides sustainable heat and hot water to the building.

Acumen joins other prominent tenants, including ESG specialist Utopi and collaborative workspace provider Red Tree Business Suites, marking EastWorks as a growing business hub.
