OneGym prepares to expand with new group operations manager

North East gym chain OneGym has appointed Sean Ebdon as group operations manager to drive its ambitious growth plans for 2025 and beyond.

Sean began his journey with OneGym in 2013 as a casual employee and quickly advanced through the ranks, taking on roles such as Gym Manager and later regional manager.

His leadership has been instrumental in overseeing operations at multiple sites, including Thinford Park, Peterlee, Ryhope and Darlington.

Sean said: “It’s been an incredible journey, growing alongside OneGym from a single-site operation to a well-established brand across the North East and I’ve been fortunate to work with a fantastic team and receive the support of Paul and Dave throughout my career. 

“This new role is an exciting opportunity for me to help shape the future of OneGym as we enter a new phase of growth.

“My focus will be on strengthening our operations, supporting our teams, and ensuring that every member has an exceptional experience at our clubs.

“I’m eager to take on this challenge and help lead the way as we continue to expand in 2025 and beyond.”

This newly created role reflects OneGym’s focus on developing internal talent and preparing for further expansion, with plans to bring affordable, high-quality fitness facilities to more communities across the region.
