New Park Court Chambers 'best in UK'
A barristers’ chambers has earned national recognition for its legal expertise, superb client service and commitment to corporate social responsibility.
New Park Court Chambers, with bases in Newcastle and Leeds, has been named ‘Chambers of the Year’ at the 2024 British Legal Awards.
Competing against leading contenders nationwide, it was the only non-London chambers to be shortlisted for the award.
The accolade follows another recent success, as New Park Court Chambers won ‘Team of the Year - Crime & Regulatory’ at the Northern Law Awards earlier this year, with judges recognising their “commitment to legal expertise” and “excellent client service”.
Rob Wagg, New Park Court chief executive, said: “I am truly humbled and thrilled that we have been recognised as Chambers of the Year.
“I see every day the expertise, commitment, time, energy, and effort that everyone pours into driving us towards, collectively, being the best we can be.
“A special thank you to our clients and all those who instruct us. It is our working together that allows our people to be showcased and to shine, and for that, we are very grateful.”
With 74 barristers, including 14 King’s Counsel and several high-profile, nationally and internationally reputed junior counsel, the chambers' reach and influence stretches far beyond the North East circuit.
