An IT and cybersecurity expert has gained national recognition for her innovative contributions and leadership in technology.
Ruth Humpherson, IT and cybersecurity lead at Newcastle-based life science consultancy ramarketing, has won the ‘Next CSO Award’ at the 2024 CSO Awards UK.
During her two years with the company, Ruth has implemented a robust IT framework to tackle modern security challenges, developed AI governance strategies and has championed inclusivity and mental wellbeing in the workplace through mentorship programmes and advocacy for neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ inclusion.

She said: “I’m honoured to receive this recognition, but it’s a testament to the incredible team and collaborative spirit at ramarketing.
