Dransfield expands with Crystal & Son Group deal
A family-owned gaming machine supplier has moved up a level following a takeover.
Dransfield Novelty Company has bought Crystal & Son Group.
Bosses at the 75-year-old Leeds-headquartered firm, which provides gaming machines, digital jukeboxes and pool tables to pubs and clubs, say the deal “enhances its range of goods and services… while complementing its core operations”.
North Tyneside-based Crystal & Son Group’s portfolio includes bingo machines, books and markers, dartboards and football scratchcards.
Chris Haley, Dransfield managing director, said: “We look forward to integrating Crystal & Son Group into our operations, and continuing our mission to deliver high-quality products and services to customers.”
Dransfield was supported on the deal by Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield-based law firm Schofield Sweeney, with Jack Venable, Michael Cantwell and Simon Hellewell providing corporate and real estate advice.
Malcolm Coomber and Katie Brockhurst, from Sutton’s Clarkson Hyde, acted as corporate finance advisers, with Chris Morgan and Pamela Thompson, of Newcastle and Stockton-based Savage Silk, providing legal advice to Crystal & Son Group.
Jack added: “We’re delighted for Chris and the team at Dransfield; this transaction represents another success story, underscoring their ongoing growth and industry leadership.”
