Shot Scope targets growth with new chair

Golf tech firm Shot Scope has appointed Lord Mervyn Davies as chair of its board, as the company prepares for significant global growth in 2025.

A passionate golfer and sport enthusiast, Lord Davies brings a wealth of leadership experience to the Edinburgh-based company.

Shot Scope is focused on establishing itself as a global golf brand, particularly targeting expansion in North America.

Lord Davies, formerly chief executive and chairman of Standard Chartered, was awarded a CBE in 2002 for his contributions to the financial sector.

He currently chairs the Lawn Tennis Association and LetterOne, as well as serving on the World Rugby Executive Committee.

He said: “I am excited to join Shot Scope as Chairman of the Board, our innovative products are sold in over 160 countries and stocked by leading golf and sport retailers worldwide. 

“I look forward to working with the team and shareholders to deliver our ambitious international growth plans and establish Shot Scope as a global brand within golf.”
