Freeths appoints first eDiscovery manager

National law firm Freeths has named Jake Pennington-Slater as its first in-house eDiscovery manager, bringing extensive expertise from his previous role at Deloitte.

With over nine years of experience, Jake has developed deep knowledge across the entire Electronic Discovery Reference Model, supporting large-scale data collections in global class actions and managing document reviews involving up to ten million documents.

He said: “I am thrilled to be joining Freeths, and I am very much looking forward to working on the firm’s breadth of legal engagements. 

“I’m excited to see what challenges are ahead, and it’s great to see the commitment the firm has to its clients in providing a service that is second-to-none.”

In his new role, Jake will support the firm’s commercial dispute resolution team on mass litigation cases, including the Post Office Horizon scandal, while driving innovation in handling complex data challenges.
