Walker Sime appoints director of project management

Manchester-based construction consultancy firm Walker Sime has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Peter Jackson as UK director of project management. 

With over 30 years of industry experience, he brings extensive expertise in delivering large-scale projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Peter has held senior positions at Atkins Realis and Turner & Townsend, overseeing complex schemes, including the Government Hub Programme for HMRC and town centre regeneration projects in Urmston and Chorlton. 

His expertise in regeneration and infrastructure will support Walker Sime’s continued growth, particularly in response to the government’s plans to build 1.5 million homes.

In his new role, Peter will work closely with Cathy Palmer, director of regeneration delivery, to drive real estate initiatives. 

He said: “The reliability, expertise, and personal touch that Walker Sime is known for really appealed to me. 

“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside several members of the team over the years and have always been impressed by the quality of their work and their collaborative approach.

“Delivering transformative projects that improve people’s lives is what motivates me. 

“Having lived in the North West for most of my life, I am deeply invested in the region and look forward to contributing to Walker Sime’s impactful work in this area.”

His appointment comes as Walker Sime continues to expand its project management services, building on its strong reputation established over the past 25 years.

With offices in Manchester, Leeds, and Liverpool, Walker Sime provides expertise in quantity surveying, project management and regeneration services across the UK.
