Ark Estates grows portfolio with double deal
A Highland property investment firm has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of two commercial properties near Cromarty Firth Freeport.
Ark Estates has bought Ardroy House and Culcraggie House at Teaninich Industrial Estate, Alness, from telecommunications provider BT.
Ardroy House, a 9,367sq ft industrial building, is being converted into high-quality business units, expected to attract interest from the energy supply chain due to its proximity to Nigg and Cromarty Firth ports.
Meanwhile, the purchase of Culcraggie House secures the future of Fyrish Gymnastics Club (FGC), which had faced uncertainty after the building was put up for sale by BT.
Ark Estates has provided a discounted lease to ensure the club remains in place.
The company, known for supporting local causes, is also upgrading both properties with solar panels as part of its commitment to sustainability.
Willie Gray, managing director of Ark Estates, said: “I’m delighted to have acquired these two prominent Alness commercial buildings.
“We are anticipating a high level of interest in Ardroy House and it’s a privilege to be able to secure the future of FGC at Culcraggie House.
“FGC, as the first club in the Scottish Highlands to open a dedicated gymnastics facility, provide a safe and friendly environment where they encourage children and adults to keep healthy and active through gymnastics.
“We are delighted to be able to help it continue to play a really important role in the local and wider Easter Ross community.”
Lettings enquiries for Ardroy House are being handled by Graham + Sibbald in Inverness.
