Pricecheck secures new lease to boost growth

A Sheffield-based brand distributor has renewed a lease as it targets further growth.

Pricecheck, an international wholesaler of fast-moving consumer goods, has signed a five-year lease renewal for its 113,839sq ft head office and distribution centre in Beighton, with bosses saying it will enable the company “to further deliver its strategic growth plans”.

Family-run Pricecheck, led by siblings Mark Lythe and Debbie Harrison, has delivered ten consecutive years of revenue growth.

The company supplies more than 8000 products to more than 100 countries, recently reported record turnover of £151 million and aims to reach £200 million.

Leeds-headquartered law firm Gordons advised on the lease negotiations, with commercial property partner Sarah Ratcliffe and head of property disputes Paul Joyce leading the process.

Mark said: “This was far from straightforward, with three parties involved, including a previous tenant from whom we were subletting the premises. 

“The team at Gordons helped us navigate various issues and bring the matter to a successful conclusion within the required timeframe.”

Sarah added: “Pricecheck is a fast-growing business with significant ambitions, so it was essential for us to secure a new lease on the facilities to enable the company to further deliver its strategic growth plans.

“We had to work at pace within short time frames to conclude the negotiations with the landlord. 

“We are very pleased with the positive outcome and look forward to seeing Pricecheck continue to expand nationally and internationally.”
