Astra Group secures Arnold Clark charger work
A signage maker is on a charge after securing a six-figure motoring deal.
Astra Group is supplying graphics for Arnold Clark’s Charge-branded electric vehicle power hubs.
Bosses say Manchester-headquartered Astra Group will deliver signage for more than 500 chargers across the UK.
They add the venture – which includes canopies, totems and signposts – will be completed over the summer.
The contract marks another collaboration between Astra Group and Arnold Clark, with the former previously designing and installing signage for the latter’s Glasgow and Stafford-based Innovation Centres that help motorists switch to electric and hybrid vehicles.
Astra Group also recently supplied materials for Arnold Clark’s new Doncaster dealership.
Jim Kerr, Astra Group chief executive, said: “As electric vehicles become increasingly common on UK roads, our charging infrastructure needs to develop and grow to meet rising demand.
“We’re proud to play a part in bringing Arnold Clark’s vision to life with a suite of striking structural signage products.”
Neil Lawson, Arnold Clark senior project manager, added: “Astra Group was an obvious choice of partner for this project.
“It has worked with our civil engineers to ensure a safe and seamless finish to each charging hub.”
