Arctic Wolf 'boosts online safety' in Blackberry deal

A global cybersecurity firm has expanded with a software deal.

Arctic Wolf has bought BlackBerry’s Cylance endpoint security assets.

Bosses say the move bolsters Arctic Wolf’s security offer, with Cylance’s artificial intelligence-driven software absorbed into its Aurora monitoring apparatus.

They add it will aid the continued rollout of Arctic Wolf’s Aurora Endpoint Security portfolio.

Nick Schneider, president and chief executive of Arctic Wolf, which has its Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters in Newcastle, said: “Aurora Endpoint Security represents a transformative step in how organisations adopt endpoint protection.

“By integrating Cylance’s advanced artificial intelligence capabilities into Aurora, and combined with the expertise of one of the world’s largest commercial security operations centres, Aurora Endpoint Security helps organisations reduce risk exposure, eliminate alert fatigue and false positives, and build stronger, more resilient defences.”
