My Property Box expands with 'milestone' takeover
An estate and lettings agency has expanded with a takeover.
My Property Box has bought Bellwood & Harris.
The deal has added 150 properties to the Darlington and Newcastle operator’s portfolio.
It says the move – completed for an undisclosed sum – marks “another significant milestone in its expansion across the North East and Yorkshire”.
Founded in 2009 by friends Helen Bellwood and Justine Harris, Darlington-based Bellwood & Harris operated from an office on the town’s Yarm Road, which has now closed.
The deal represents My Property Box’s 13th acquisition, and comes just weeks after it added fourth-generation letting agency John Prest, based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, and Darlington’s Landlords 2 to its stable following multi-million-pound BGF investment.
Ben Quaintrell, My Property Box chief executive, said: “Bellwood & Harris has built an excellent reputation for customer service (and) our commitment is to provide their clients with the same exceptional service they’ve come to expect.”
Justine added: “We felt the time was right to step down and entrust our business to a larger organisation that shares our passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
“My Property Box has a fantastic reputation, and we are confident our clients will benefit from their innovative approach and expanded range of services.”
