Armstrong Watson enjoys ‘outstanding year’
Armstrong Watson’s corporate finance team has enjoyed a standout year, having completed major deals and expanded its workforce to meet rising demand.
The team, which operates nationally from offices in Leeds, Newcastle and Carlisle, advised on transactions exceeding £55 million in 2024 while supporting more than 100 clients across sectors such as manufacturing, engineering and risk management.
Notable deals included the sale of Stokesley-based Genesis Brands Limited to French flooring giant Gerflor and the acquisition of Waterfront Fluid Controls by Indian engineering firm Jash Engineering Limited.
To support growing demand, the team has nearly doubled in size, with strategic hires including Stephen Green as financial due diligence partner; Lee Hayes as funding and debt advisory partner; Jonathan Lewis as corporate finance partner; and three new corporate finance executives.
Mike Kienlen, chair and head of corporate finance at Armstrong Watson, said: “The corporate finance team has developed significantly over the last 12 months.
“It’s been an outstanding year.
“We now have six partners covering the UK, offering the full range of services including merger and acquisition support on both buyer and vendor side, financial due diligence and funding solutions support.
“This senior leadership group is well supported by an experienced, growing team and is very well placed to continue to support all of our clients’ corporate finance needs.”
