T12 Engineering energised by Norway expansion

An engineering firm has expanded internationally.  

T12 Engineering has opened a Norway office.

Bosses say the Oslo-based venture puts the business “at the heart of a key oil and gas market”.

They add the firm will “empower independent owner-operators with expertise to advance projects and extend the lifespan of subsea assets”.

The move follows previous work for a client in the Nordic country and decades of experience across the Norwegian Continental Shelf on greenfield developments and the refreshing of existing brownfield assets. 

Graham Melroy, director of Teesside-based T12 Engineering and chief executive of the Oslo business, said: “This expansion represents a significant opportunity to strengthen our presence, build lasting partnerships and support a country that is Europe’s largest oil producer and second-largest exporter of natural gas.

“It will allow us to contribute to critical energy developments while enhancing our international footprint.

“Norway has a thriving oil and gas sector, but we have identified a gap in the market where smaller owner-operators require agile, skilled and innovative engineering support.”

Andy Hughes, fellow director at the business, which runs further bases in Glasgow and Edinburgh, added: “Several of Norway’s oil and gas fields are mature and require significant upgrades and maintenance to extend their operational life. 

“Norway plays a critical role in our energy security and, as a result, there is growing demand to provide enhanced recovery solutions that allow operators to maximise efficiency, reliability and sustainability of assets.”
