DPP Planning promotes new director in Newcastle

DPP Planning has promoted Kayleigh Dixon to director in its Newcastle office, recognising her expertise and contributions to the firm’s growth.

Kayleigh joined DPP in 2012 as an assistant planner and has steadily advanced through senior roles, including associate director in 2020, where she led the North West team.

In her new position, she will oversee projects across the North of England and beyond.

A Newcastle University graduate and member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, Kayleigh has extensive experience in commercial, education, retail and residential planning.

She has played a key role in major projects, including Salford Central for Muse and English Cities Fund, Ralli Quays for Legal and General, and the West Hartford Business Park in Northumberland.

Kayleigh said: “I am over the moon to be taking on the mantle of director here at DPP.

“I’ve been with the consultancy for much of my career and it’s incredibly rewarding to have progressed from a junior role all the way through to the senior leadership team and now taking a lead as a director within the business.

“DPP has supported me both personally and professionally over the years and it demonstrates their commitment to learning and career development opportunities.

“I’m looking forward to continuing our growth in the residential and commercial sectors - we have a strong pipeline of projects coming up in the North East and North West and this is a very exciting time to be helping drive forward DPP’s activity in the northern regions.”

Gareth Hooper, chief executive of DPP Planning, which also has offices in Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester and London, added: “We’re very excited to have Kayleigh helping lead our growth in the North.

“Nurturing talent is something we really prioritise within the business and it’s fantastic to have somebody join us in the early stages of their career and to see them grow and develop as much as Kayleigh has.

“Her journey over the past twelve years is really testament to her drive and her extensive understanding of the industry, which our clients have come to value very highly.

“DPP has a higher proportion of female directors than any other planning firm in the UK, which is something we’re incredibly proud of and we feel very fortunate to have senior leaders of Kayleigh’s calibre making up our leadership team.”
