Tech companies combine on £1 million NHS contract
Two technology consultancies have joined forces on a £1 million NHS contract.
Seriös Group and Opencast have secured a two-year deal aimed at increasing data use across NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA).
Bosses say Seriös Group and Opencast will help NHSBSA “use data to drive better insights into its processes”.
An arm’s length body of the Department of Health and Social Care, Newcastle-headquartered NHSBSA provides business support services to the NHS.
The contract will see the partners work together on NHSBSA’s end-to-end data lifecycle.
The first phase of work will involve data solution architecture, data engineering, insight analysis, data warehousing, user-centred design and big data analytics.
Lee Rorison, founder and chief executive of Seriös Group, which operates out of Newcastle’s Hoults Yard, said: “By helping establish near real-time operational reporting, we’ll support NHSBSA to provide high-quality, easily accessible data and insights.
“We have collaborated with Opencast on other impactful projects and are delighted to be joining forces again.”
Harry Armstrong, chief growth officer at Opencast, which is also based at Hoults Yard, added: “Healthcare is a priority for us, and this is exactly the sort of contract we thrive on.
“NHSBSA’s ambition is for a step-change as a data-driven organisation, and our work will support them in that.”
