Steel River Consultants land third term with RWE
A consultancy has secured a long-term contract to continue supporting one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies.
Steel River Consultants (SRC) has been re-appointed to RWE’s multi-million-pound consultants’ framework for a third term, providing health, safety and environmental (HSE) consultancy across major offshore wind projects.
Stockton-based SRC has played a key role in the £3 billion Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, near Redcar, one of the world’s largest offshore wind projects, and is now supporting RWE’s Norfolk Offshore Wind portfolio.
With eight consultants dedicated to the Sofia project, SRC’s expertise is also helping RWE with development and decommissioning projects, further strengthening its role in the UK’s transition to clean energy.
Graham Tyerman, SRC’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to once again be appointed to the RWE framework for HSE services; it is testament to the great team that works on the RWE business and provide a comprehensive, trustworthy service.
“As a hands-on and practical firm, we are now able to look forward to working on some of the most ground-breaking renewable energy projects in the world.”
Roy Dickson, RWE Offshore Wind lead HSE manager - offshore wind construction, added: “We have worked with Graham and the SRC team for the last four years, and we are pleased they have won another five years on our framework to provide HSE consultancy services.
“They are reliable and provide safe, professional advice with a pragmatic approach.”
