Office builds Caddick's North East presence

A builder says it has laid foundations for growth with a North East expansion.

Caddick Construction Group has opened an office in Durham City.

Bosses say the 2045sq ft base, on Belmont Business Park, will boost the Wakefield-headquartered firm’s “ambition to grow across the industrial, residential, healthcare, offices, retail and manufacturing sectors”.

The office was opened by Paul Caddick, company founder and chair, who launched the construction and civil engineer in 1979, and Councillor Richard Bell, deputy leader of Durham County Council.

The expansion follows the appointments of Steve Ford as regional managing director for Caddick Construction North East and Yorkshire, and Simon Martin as managing director for Caddick Civil Engineering.

Paul Dodsworth, group managing director, said: “We are really excited to launch our Durham office and move ourselves closer to our growing client base in the North East.

“There is a healthy pipeline of construction work in the region, and we’re very proud to bring our capabilities, knowledge and experience to this thriving market.”

Steve added: “The conversations we are having, and the response we have so far seen in the North East market, have proven the appetite and demand for our services.

“We’re very proud to cement our presence in the North East with our Durham office.”

The North East base adds to further sites in Birmingham, Kendal and Warrington.
