Cain International seals deal for German expansion
A real estate asset manager has expanded with a German deal.
Cain International has bought an 86,000sq metre brownfield site in the Rhine-Neckar region.
Bosses at the London-headquartered firm say the site, based south of Frankfurt, will be transformed into a 57,000sq metre distribution hub.
They add building work will start next year and be completed by 2027.
The venture represents Cain International’s tenth European speculative logistics development and fourth in Germany.
The scheme will be delivered alongside developer, investor and logistics, industrial and data centre property manager NVELOP.
Jon Strang, Cain International’s head of industrial and logistics, said: “The acute supply constraints in the Rhine-Neckar region present a compelling opportunity to build best-in-class assets to meet the latent demand.
“We are excited to extend our partnership with NVELOP; it paves the way for further developments across our European portfolio.”
Artie Ioakim, NVELOP co-founder and chief executive, added: “We are very proud to be extending our partnership with Cain International to a third project in Germany.”
