Architect builds for future with new headquarters

A Scottish architectural firm has moved its central headquarters as it continues to expand its team and services.

Bracewell Stirling Consulting (BSC) has relocated to Scion House at Stirling University Innovation Park, replacing its previous base in Tillicoultry.

The move follows a 30 per cent increase in staff over the past year, bringing the firm’s workforce to 29.

Bosses say the new office will provide “the perfect platform for further planned growth”, with plans to recruit up to 10 additional employees over the next two years.

David Keith, senior partner at BSC, who is based at the new Stirling office, said: “As we experience a period of growth, the new office will provide a more modern and collaborative working environment, serving as the perfect platform for further planned growth in the coming years.

“We have made a series of new hires as we gear up for an increased workload and expand into new markets.

“Our project pipeline remains strong across our core housing sector clients, while we are also experiencing growing success in the commercial sector projects we undertake.”

The expansion comes as the firm strengthens its offering with a standalone masterplanning service, having appointed Mark Hamilton as strategic design and masterplan lead, in Stirling, as well as Sarah McKenzie as urban design and masterplanner, in Oban.

The new headquarters follows the firm’s recent move to a larger office in Oban, positioning it for continued growth as it approaches its centenary.

Amanda MacRitchie, senior partner at BSC, who is based in the company’s Inverness office, added: “It is an exciting time for BSC as we prepare to mark our centenary year.

“To coincide with opening of the new central Scotland office we have also moved to larger premises in Oban.

“We expect to add more members to the BSC team in the coming months.”
