Liverpool firm flies high with £2 million investment

An aerospace surface treatment firm has made a £2 million technology investment.

ASG King and Fowler has commissioned a new tartaric sulphuric anodising (TSA) line and advanced paint booths.

Bosses at the Liverpool company say the kit will prove “transformational” in “enhancing” efficiency and capacity.

They add the fully automated TSA system, developed with Jacquet Weston Engineering, will also support sustainability goals by replacing traditional chromic anodising, as well as helping to “futureproof” the business against upcoming aerospace regulations.

Alongside the TSA line, new advanced paint booths have been commissioned to complement the company’s surface treatment capabilities, further strengthening the firm’s offering to key aerospace clients, including Airbus.

Stephen Dean, managing director of ASG King and Fowler, which dates back to 1887, said: “The new TSA line and paint booths are a transformational step for our business.
