Attraction launches new charity endeavour
A farm shop and caravan site operator has launched a charity venture.
Thorpe Farm Centre is running monthly car boot sales.
Shoppers will pay a £1 entry fee, with monies raised donated to a charity every month.
Causes will be nominated by staff members.
The first sale is planned for Sunday, March 30.
The first good cause that will benefit is Sands baby loss charity, which was selected by Thorpe Farm Centre shop worker Sarah Tindall.
Sarah chose the charity after losing a baby 14 weeks into a pregnancy.
She said: “Sands supported me really well when I needed it.
“I always try to give back to the charity, and it’s great the business I work for is giving me an opportunity to do just that.”
Harvey Barkes, of Thorpe Farm Centre, which is based off the A66 at Greta Bridge, near Barnard Castle, County Durham, added: “We have a hard working team and want them to be able to make a difference to a cause that matters to them.”
The car boot sales will run on the last Sunday of each month from March through to October.
