Pleasure Beach Resort appoints head of wardrobe
Pleasure Beach Resort, in Blackpool, has appointed Abbie Farnell as head of wardrobe for its entertainment division, ahead of the 2025 season.
Abbie brings a wealth of experience, having worked on high-profile productions including Strictly Come Dancing and Gavin and Stacey.
In her new role, Abbie will oversee all wardrobe functions, from costume purchasing and maintenance to ensuring designs align with the artistic vision of director Amanda Thompson OBE.
Her career spans theatre, film and stage, with expertise in wig design and costume creation.
Abbie said: “I’m really happy to have joined Pleasure Beach Resort, a place with such a rich history of creativity and entertainment.
“Costumes are a vital part of storytelling, and I’m looking forward to playing my part in that and adding to the experience for audiences and performers alike.”
Amanda added: “Abbie is so incredibly talented, and we’re so excited to have her on our team.
“We’re known for the quality and beauty of our costumes, and we think Abbie’s skill set lends itself perfectly to that.”
Abbie’s appointment strengthens the resort’s Stageworks Worldwide Productions team, which is already gearing up for this year's Hot Ice production, combining world-class skating and high-tech special effects.
