Warehouse boost for sleep product manufacturer
A Huddersfield-based construction firm has completed a £1 million warehouse extension for a luxury sleep product maker.
Radcliffe Construction has delivered a 9500sq ft warehouse expansion for Raskelf Group, based in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire.
Bosses say the work will help Raskelf, known for its appearance on BBC’s Dragons’ Den in 2011 with the Duvalay sleeping bag, increase manufacturing capacity by around 40 per cent, enabling the company to “keep up with growing demand” for its products.
Alan Colleran, Raskelf Group managing director, said: “Increasing our manufacturing capability to support our growth has been a priority as we move forward into 2025, and the challenge was creating a new warehouse while continuing to operate business as usual.
“Logistics were difficult, due to working within a live warehouse environment, but the Radcliffe Construction team delivered.”
Faisal Choudhury, Radcliffe Construction director, added: “As the business continues to go from strength to strength, Raskelf Group approached us to help them extend their manufacturing facility to ensure they have a factory that allows them to keep up with current demand and that futureproofs them for further growth.”
