Salamander Pumps makes splash with global award
A Sunderland-based firm has earned international recognition for its latest innovation.
Salamander Pumps’ AquaScan digital water multimeter has won an iF Design Award 2025, placing it alongside global brands such as Apple, Hitachi, Fuji, Phillips, Dell and Panasonic.
The highly competitive awards process saw a jury of 131 design professionals judging the innovation and design of almost 11,000 submissions from 66 different countries.
Launched in 2024, AquaScan is a portable, four-in-one device measuring water flow, pressure, temperature and hardness, delivering precise water insight.
Designed with input from Newcastle-based Reach Design, it connects to various outlets, including taps, showers and pipework.
Claire Thompson, marketing director at Salamander Pumps, said: “We are committed to creating innovative products designed to help customers and the wider industry.
“AquaScan is an excellent example of this in action.
“The product has proven a huge success with installers and is the market’s first multimeter to provide precise water measurements.
“To be recognised with an iF Design Award for AquaScan is fantastic achievement.”
