Nineteen47 supports firm's huge factory development
A planning consultancy has helped a manufacturer secure approval for a 1000-job-plus factory.
Nineteen47 has supported Garnalex to gain permission for a 350,000sq ft aluminium extrusion plant in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
Bosses at Sheffield, York and Nottingham-based Nineteen47 say the development will be built on a 23.75-hectare site, with phase one focusing on the factory and phase two expanding Garnalex’s operations.
They add the project, which sits within the greenbelt, will feature enhanced biodiversity and significant tree planting.
Roger Hartshorn, Garnalex founder, said: “We’re thrilled to bring this development to Ashfield.
“Garnalex is ambitious and we have plans to expand further and create hundreds more jobs in the coming years.
“The team at Nineteen47 has excelled in providing us with expert planning consultancy advice, understanding the requirements of our new factory and the complexities of the planning situation to ensure the desired outcomes were achieved.
“We now look forward to work starting on the new site.”
Jamie Pyper, Nineteen47 co-founder and director, who co-ordinated environmental assessments and 3D visualisation services for the project, added: “Garnalex’s new facility showcases the company’s commitment to delivering not only high-quality products, but also economic growth within the local area.
“It was fantastic to work with Roger and the team to secure planning for both phases of the development, and we now look forward to seeing them come to life.”
