Bellway helps build futures with partnership
A housebuilder is creating new career opportunities for young people through an industry-first regional partnership.
Bellway Homes has teamed up with Regeneration Brainery, a not-for-profit academy that has supported more than 6000 young people in exploring careers in property and regeneration.
The collaboration will see Bellway host the academy’s first North East workshop at its head office in Newcastle, alongside work placements to “showcase the variety of roles” in the housebuilding sector.
With more than seven per cent of its 2800 workforce currently in ‘earn and learn’ training roles, Bellway says it aims to expand its apprenticeship and graduate programmes through the initiative.
Heidi Khoshtaghaza, group HR director at Bellway, said: “We are delighted to partner with Regeneration Brainery to offer work experience opportunities to young people who are interested in a career in construction.
