Jet-setting success for Newcastle's Samson
An executive jet base is celebrating after earning international recognition.
Newcastle International Airport’s Samson Executive Jet Centre, which oversees private aircraft operations, has made history after becoming the first international winner of the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Member of the Year Award at the 2024 Paragon Awards, in New Orleans, USA.
The accolade, presented during the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers 2025 Conference, was awarded on the back of positive customer feedback and votes from fellow FBO members and flight departments.
Bosses say it highlights Samson’s operational excellence, world-class customer service and commitment to the highest safety standards.
Paula Ives, Samson Executive Jet Centre general manager, said: “We are delighted to have made history by becoming the first international winner of this esteemed award.
“Our team takes great pride in providing a professional, personal and efficient service, giving our passengers the freedom to choose how, when and where they travel.
“This award is a great achievement and we’re grateful to everyone who voted for us.”
