By drawing upon the natural, renewable resource of the wind, EDF Energy Renewables provides competitively priced, low carbon energy - actively contributing to the development of new generating capacity to help meet the growing demand for energy. By 2020 the UK Government is looking to provide 15% of the UK's energy from renewables and the Scottish Government's plans are for 100% of energy to come from renewables. The development of renewables is also vital in helping the UK reach its target to reduce its CO2 emissions by 80%, from 1990 levels, by 2050.
