Spanish-born David García-González came to the UK in 1998 and worked as a translator and Spanish-speaking voice over talent for more than 10 years before deciding to go it alone and start his own business in 2008, GoLocalise, a one-stop boutique audiovisual translation company. Since the company was founded seven years ago, GoLocalise has built a network of more than 1,000 translators, subtitlers and voice over talents working in over 95 languages. This has enabled it to punch above its weight and attract a client base of 400 across a range of sectors including blue chip multi-nationals, e-learning businesses, production companies and large translation companies, working with such well-known international brands as the BBC, Warner Bros, Viacom and The V&A Museum. David García-González and his business GoLocalise have won a string of awards including ‘Outstanding Business’ and ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur’ in the Global Business Excellence Awards, ‘Best Product Service’ and ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur’ in the Best Business awards and twice in a year ‘National Entrepreneur of the Month’ by the Entrepreneurs’ Circle. GoLocalise has also recently achieved ISO 9001 certification for quality management and ISO 14000 certification for environmental management.
