Jonathan Straight is a leading environmental entrepreneur and is the founder and former chief executive of Straight plc, the UK's leading supplier of waste and recycling container solutions. The business was built up from one man and a desk to a £30m enterprise, listed on the London Stock Exchange and with its own environmentally-focued manufacturing facility. He successfully exited the business following its sale for an eight-figure sum in 2014. Jonathan is currently a director of water saving NGO Waterwise, is a founding director of The Street Lane Bakery - a social enterprise based in Leeds and is the founder and a trustee of The Straight Charitable Trust. He works as a consultant, non-executive director, mentor and investor. As well as writing, Jonathan does some television work. Famous for his collection of 300 pairs of eclectic spectacles as well as his waxed moustache and ponytail, Jonathan is one of Yorkshire's best known entrepreneurs and personalities.
